The Shropshire UKSPF Capital Grant Scheme for Small Businesses has once again proved extremely popular!
One week after re-opening for applications the scheme has closed again due to a flood of interest.
It offers grants of between £2,000 and £10,000 to purchase new equipment or make improvements to business premises.
Since the scheme first opened to applications in March, the team have individually assessed 217 EOIs (Expressions of Interest).
All applicants are asked to complete a simple EOI online and projects successfully passing this initial stage are then invited to submit a full application.
To carry out this process efficiently and respond to those who have applied within a reasonable timeframe, it has been necessary to pause applications for a second time.
Businesses that have recently submitted EOIs to the second round are asked to be patient whilst the current batch of applications are processed.
The UKSPF team have reported that a further window for applications will open in September or October. This will be announced in the local press and on social media.
