Over 140 business leaders have already booked to attend Invest in Shropshire’s Business Leaders’ Breakfast next Tuesday 15th October
The event has taken place every year since 2017 and regularly attracts over 100 businesses and partners from all over Shropshire.
Delegates are invited to network over breakfast and then have an opportunity to hear about the various plans and activities underway to secure the future economic prosperity of the county.
Mark Barrow, Executive Director Place will outline the drivers shaping the current economic landscape and explain how Shropshire is meeting those challenges and opportunities.
Ben Sykes, a representative from Faulkner Browns Architects, the company that led on the design for Smithfield Riverside in Shrewsbury, will talk about the latest work shaping the biggest regeneration project ever undertaken in the town.
Other items on the morning will bring delegates up-to-date with the work of the ground-breaking Marches Forward Partnership to boost investment in the region, and Carl Jones interviews Bruce Gardner, New Clubs Director from David Lloyd Clubs, which has recently invested in Shrewsbury by purchasing the Shrewsbury Club
Finally, businesses will find out how they can engage with and support ‘Shropshire’s biggest family’ from Erika Ower, Service Manager for the Fostering and Adoption Service at Shropshire Council.
The event always proves extremely popular and this year is no exception with only a few places left!

We are facing difficult times as a Council, but we also have much to look forward to. There are exciting plans and a great deal of activity going on to secure the future economic prosperity of Shropshire. We want to highlight these activities and celebrate them on the morning.”
