Strategic Location & Connectivity
Oswestry Innovation Park benefits from a prime gateway location close to the A5 and A483, providing excellent connectivity to the West Midlands, North West England and Wales. Recent improvements to Mile End Junction have enhanced access and helped unlock development opportunities in south and east Oswestry.
As a key commercial centre for north Shropshire and the wider cross-border economy, Oswestry offers a diverse business base spanning manufacturing, engineering, food production, construction, healthcare and professional services. The town is also home to the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, strengthening its reputation as a location to live, work, invest and grow a business.
Supporting sustainable growth
Oswestry Innovation Park is being brought forward alongside wider investment in housing, transport and infrastructure across Oswestry.
This coordinated investment will support sustainable economic growth and improve connections between employment areas, residential development and the town.
A new pedestrian and cycle bridge will provide an important connection between the Innovation Park, the wider Sustainable Urban Extension and nearby residential areas. It will support sustainable access between the site, the town and the surrounding active travel network.
Infrastructure Investment
Significant infrastructure investment has created a development-ready employment site for future business growth and investment in north Shropshire.
Improvements include Mile End Junction upgrades, strategic road and site access, spine roads, earthworks, drainage and surface water infrastructure, early utilities works, and a new pedestrian and cycle bridge connecting the site with surrounding communities.
Together, these investments provide the foundations for future commercial development at Oswestry Innovation Park.
Utilities and Infrastructure Delivery
Shropshire Council is now progressing the next phase of infrastructure delivery, including the coordination of electricity, water and telecommunications services to support future commercial development.
This work will help bring forward development-ready plots, provide greater certainty around infrastructure delivery and site servicing, and inform future investment opportunities.
The timing and availability of individual plots will be informed by the outcome of this work and the resulting infrastructure delivery programme.
