KEY SUPPORT PROGRAMME AVAILABLE TO SHROPSHIRE BUSINESSES FOR ANOTHER YEAR

News

29th April 2025

Thanks to further funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the highly popular Business Boost 360 programme can support businesses in Shropshire for another year.

This fully funded specialist initiative ensures that business owners within the Shropshire Council area can access the essential support needed for business success.

Through the Shropshire Growth Hub, eligible businesses can qualify for up to six hours of support with experts in subjects that are vital for business survival and growth. These include business planning, finance, marketing, public relations, health and safety, sales, human resources, and cyber security, but this list is by no means exhaustive.

Liz Connelly left) of Narnoc Ltd has already signed up for the new round of Business Boost support.

Liz started trading in September 2024 and offers consultancy and operational support at Director level. Liz said,

“Applying to Business Boost 360 seemed a natural next step to grow my business. The support offers real opportunities for expert guidance and network expansion. Within a week of applying, I had my first session booked with Pippa from Sales Geek.

“I’m excited about what’s ahead and grateful for initiatives like this that champion local business growth.”

Emma Chapman, Manager of the Shropshire Growth Hub said,

“This programme proved so successful we thought it essential to keep it available for another year.

“Businesses have consistently reported positive experiences. They comment especially on the quality of the advisers, the superb standard of support and the significant impact the programme has had on their business growth.

“Running a business has many aspects, all of which are important. We know our businesses can’t be masters of everything and will come up against barriers of knowledge or understanding.  Whatever that barrier may be, our expert advisers can step in and help.”

Eligible businesses must be in the Shropshire Council area (excluding Telford & Wrekin), have been operating for over six months, and not have accessed the programme before. They must also demonstrate solid annual turnover or projections, especially if trading for 6-12 months.

Places are still available currently, so businesses interested in receiving support are urged to email the Shropshire Growth Hub on growthhub@shropshire.gov.uk as soon as possible.
