Vibrant Shropshire: A Cultural Compact is a cross sector partnership bringing together culture, business, education, healthcare and allied sectors. It is made up of a volunteer board of members from these sectors who make recommendations on Compact initiatives. It is managed by Shropshire Council and funded by Arts Council England.

It was formed to help deliver the county’s cultural strategy, Vibrant Shropshire, with the aim to help culture thrive in in Shropshire and, in turn, increase the county’s health, wellbeing, resilience, economic prosperity and environmental sustainability.

The Compact will help to develop Shropshire’s cultural sector through networking and training events, funding opportunities and sector information.

Come along to our launch event to find out about about the Cultural Compact, funding opportunities, upcoming events and to meet the Board members. Our partners from Shropshire Infrastructure Partnership will also be in attendance offering advice and information on how they can support cultural projects in Shropshire.

6.20pm – Cultural Compacts in action with Nic Millington CEO of Rural Media and Chair of Herefordshire Cultural Compact Partnership

6.35pm – Grants, Events and Partnership with Alice Machin, Cultural Compact Officer

6.50pm – Opportunity to meet the Board informally and ask questions on a one to one basis.

7.30pm – Close
