Ladder for Shropshire

The Ladder For Shropshire brings companies looking to introduce new blood to their workforces together with young people hungry to start on a new career, alongside the training providers who can ensure they are equipped with the expertise employers require.

The Ladder for Shropshire Campaign has been launched in partnership with The Marches Skills Provider Network, Shropshire Council, and Telford & Wrekin Council and calls on businesses to take on one or more apprentices.

Research shows that 72 per cent of businesses report improved productivity as a result of employing an apprentice and for every apprentice you take on, you may be eligible for a Government grant of £1,500.

There are other benefits too: research has shown that over 80 per cent of consumers favour using a company which takes on apprentices – while 74 per cent of businesses say apprentices are more loyal and stay with the business longer than other employees.

Over 130,000 businesses across the UK offer Apprenticeship places because they recognise their effectiveness at increasing productivity, improving business performance and ensuring a committed and competent workforce.

You can read about the benefits of employing apprentices and find out more about the Shropshire Apprenticeship Campaign.
